Scope of Work

- Assess and refine WIZZITs new microenterprise loan product in relation to the target market.
- Review and confirm the appropriateness of the policy and procedures manual and systems for cash flow management, loan portfolio management and accounting.
- Attend credit committee meetings and coach credit staff in client assessments and credit decisions.
- Coach credit staff in delinquency management and collections strategies.
- Pilot synergies between the credit office and other services of WIZZIT.
- Develop a comprehensive performance management system for productive lending.
- Develop specifications for a debtor management system to effectively support the microenterprise lending product.
- Develop a national roll-out plan with detailed resource requirements and funding strategy
- Develop a projection model and funding strategy for the national roll-out.
- Conduct a one day workshop with key stakeholders, potential and existing clients to create awareness of the new product offering, gather information and incorporate feedback that could be used to improve its responsiveness to the market needs
- Package all project documents and materials into a consolidated and organized index for WIZZIT/IFC reference

The following qualifications are desirable:

- Extensive (over 10 years) knowledge and experience in Africa’s Micro-Finance sector and players
- At least 7 years experience in the development of Micro-finance products tailored for specific markets and client/market needs.
- Experience in developing management information systems for MFI’s
- Mobile banking knowledge and experience would be an added advantage.

The following qualifications are mandatory:

- Clear presentation of proposal that covers the needs of the assignment as spelt out in the terms of reference
- At least one Masters degree holder in the project team in one or more of the following disciplines: economics/ finance/ business/ administration/development studies.
- Excellent written, oral and communication skills.
